Single-storey rear extension

Completed in 2022, this project in Greenwich, London, involved the transformation of a purpose-built house through a well-designed rear extension. Originally a two-bedroom, one-bathroom property, it was thoughtfully reconfigured and expanded to create a spacious four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, perfectly suited to modern family living.

BEFORE

Originally a ground floor maisonette of 69 square metres, the property was in poor condition but held significant potential. Despite its state, the layout and structure offered a strong starting point for a thoughtful renovation and modernisation.

BUILDING PROCESS

The renovation saw the addition of a single-storey rear extension, which allowed for the creation of two extra bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom, significantly increasing the property's living space. The internal layout was also reconfigured to improve flow and functionality, resulting in a more practical and spacious home tailored to modern needs.

COMPLETION

The renovation resulted in a bright, modern home featuring an open-plan kitchen fitted with new appliances and stylish built-in wardrobes for added storage. New flooring was laid throughout, creating a cohesive and contemporary finish. The large garden was thoroughly cleared, refreshed with a new fence, and now offers a welcoming outdoor space ideal for relaxing or entertaining.
